Alan is a Director of New Charter Homes Ltd and is the Board’s Homelessness Champion.

He has knowledge of the local area and the needs of tenants having lived in Tameside for many years.

He also has experience in Health & Safety in the workplace and is a Trade Union leader.

Maria is a TMBC nominated Director on the Board of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd and is the Board’s Homelessness Champion.

She has extensive experience in social housing having worked for both English Churches Housing Group and Ashton Pioneer Homes. She has also worked for a number of charities including the Depaul Trust.

Maria is currently the Volunteer Co-ordinator & Community Engagement Director of Tameside Radio and a Director on the Board of T3SC.

Andrew is a Co-opted Director on the Group’s Finance Committee.

He is a Chartered Surveyor and former Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Greater Manchester General Practice Division). He has experience of Housing Associations, compulsory competitive tendering for public bodies and TUPE transfer of employees.

Malcolm is a Tenant Director on the Board of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd.

He lives in Hyde and has been a tenant of New Charter for some time. His concerns about housing and the environment led to him wishing to stand as a Tenant Director.

Malcolm has completed a Governance Programme through the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Jimmy is a Director of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd and Chair of the Group’s Audit Committee.

He has extensive experience in housing having formerly held the position of Director of Housing with Liverpool City Council. James was a Regional Manager for a Housing Association, former consultant to the Housing Corporation and a past President of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Jimmy also sits on a panel for employment tribunals.

Co-opted Director

Rex is a Co-opted Director on the Group’s Audit Committee.

He is a Chartered Surveyor but has an extensive background in housing having previously worked for Bradford & Northern Housing Association and the City of Manchester Housing Department.

He is a Non-Executive Director for the NHS Trust and a college governor at Tameside College.

Rex is now a property adviser at Grafton Associate Limited Management Consultants.

Ged is a Director and Chair of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd.

He has been a Member of Tameside MBC since 1990 where he is the Chair of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund Venture Capital Group and the Executive Cabinet Member for life long learning, children and young people’s services.

He has extensive experience of local housing needs and the building industry being the Branch Secretary of UCATT since 1987.

Margaret is a Director of New Charter Homes Ltd.

She was the Mayor of Tameside MBC in 2003/04 and has served on the Council since 1992. She was the former Chair of Tameside Council’s Equal Opportunity Sub-Committee. She has an interest in local and social issues.

Mark is a Co-opted Director on the Finance Committee.

He has gained many years of experience in housing and finance having worked for both Local Authorities and RSLs. He is currently Executive Director of Prospect Homes Group.

Jacqui is a Director on the Board of New Charter Homes Ltd.

She is a qualified Accountant and has an extensive background in housing having previously worked for Manchester Methodist Housing Association, Portico Housing Association and Tung Sing Housing Association.

Hamid is a Director and Vice Chair of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd. He is also the Board Member Champion for Equality & Diversity.

He is currently employed by PKF Accountants and Business Advisors and has extensive knowledge and experience in financial issues relating to social housing, having been previously employed by Berrybridge Housing Association and with Beever Struthers, Charter Accountants, as an Audit Manager dealing with Registered Social Landlords.

Julie is a Director of New Charter Homes Ltd.

She has extensive knowledge of Social Housing having been involved in the National Housing Federation North West Chairs Committee and the Merseyside & North West Voluntary Board Members Forum.

Jed is a Co-opted Director of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd.

He has extensive experience in management consultancy and finance working with both small and large companies to assist them in enhancing their effectiveness and providing Management Development Programmes. He is a Governor of South Trafford College.

Geoff is a Director of New Charter Building Company Ltd.

He has extensive experience in the building industry having been a self employed builder before working with Manchester City Council for 20 years. He now owns several companies.

Adam is a Director of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd and is the Board’s nominee on the Board of Gedling Homes.

Taff is a Director of New Charter Homes Ltd.

He is also Chair of Central Residents Action Group in Dukinfield, a member of Tameside Voice and Dukinfield Forum and the co-ordinator of the local Home Watch.

Taff has completed a Governance Programme through the Institute of Leadership and Management and is committed to resident involvement.

Independent Director

Aslam is a Director of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd and the Boards nominee on the Board of Aksa Housing Association Ltd.

Aslam is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) with a legal background.

Geoff is a Director on the Board of New Charter Homes Ltd.

He has an extensive background in housing having previously been employed by Tameside Council as Principal Housing Officer, Anchor Housing Trust as Assistant Director and Head of Housing Services at Housing 21.

He currently works for Wulvern Housing.

Jacqui is a Co-opted Director on the Board of New Charter Homes Ltd.

She has worked in supported housing for many years and is currently employed by Manchester Methodist Housing Association as an Operations Manager.

Jim is a Director of New Charter Homes Ltd.

He has been a Councillor with Tameside MBC since 1990. He is interested in housing and social issues.

He was a member of the Board of Sanctuary Housing Association for 8 years.

Executive Director

Ian is Chief Executive of the New Charter Housing Trust Group and is an Executive Director on the Board of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd.

Tony is Director of Tenancy Services for the Group and is the Co-opted, Executive Director on the Board of New Charter Homes Ltd.

Kieran is a Director on the Board of New Charter Building Company Ltd.

He has experience in economic development and an interest in social housing and local issues. He is a local councillor for Droylsden and has been a member of the council since 1994.

Vincent is a Director and Chair of New Charter Building Company Ltd. He is also the Board Member Champion for Health & Safety.

He has a background in the building industry and is employed by Manchester City Council.

He has been a member of Tameside MBC for many years and is the Chair of the Lifelong Learning and Cultural Services Scrutiny Panel.

Joan is a Director of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd and is the Board’s nominee on the Board of New Charter Homes Ltd.

Joan is a Tameside resident and has worked locally in the private sector, with minority ethnic groups, with health and local authorities and the national/local voluntary sector.

Recently retired, she was formerly the Executive Director of Groundwork Tameside.

Richard is a Co-opted Director on the Group’s Audit Committee.

He is currently Head of Assurance at Vicinity Housing Group having previously held the positions of Group Company Secretary and Internal Audit Manager.

Richard is a qualified accountant and has previously worked for the University of Liverpool and Cheshire County Council, in mainstream financial management roles.

Philip is a tenant Director on the Board of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd.

He lives in Ashton-under-Lyne and has an interest in social housing and local issues.

Executive Director

Andy is the Managing Director of New Charter Building Company Ltd and is the Executive Director on the Company’s Board of Directors.

Liliane is a Director of New Charter Building Company Ltd.

She was previously employed by the Group as Director of Organisational Development and brings extensive knowledge of the RSL sector to the Board.

Gordon is a Co-opted Director on the Board of New Charter Homes Ltd.

He has an extensive background in business management having been the Financial Director and more latterly the Managing Director of Washington Mills Electro Minerals Ltd.

Independent Director

Ann is an Independent Director on the Board of New Charter Housing Trust Ltd.

She is currently employed by Manchester Enterprises as a Strategy Implementation Manager. Ann’s work involves regeneration and economic development. She has responsibility for leading on employment issues across Greater Manchester and geographical responsibility for the Tameside area.
