RESIDENT INVOLVEMENT

New Charter is committed to putting involvement at the centre of its business and to ensure residents have the opportunity to develop, improve and raise the standards of the services it provides.
We will:
Keep residents informed
Ensure effective consultation methods
Provide a range of ways for genuine resident involvement and participation that
meets both the needs of individuals and collective groups of residents, both
formally and informally
Provide training to individuals and groups of residents
Respond to the different needs of minorities and strive to ensure services are
accessible; equality of treatment for everyone regardless of race, gender,
colour ethnic or national origin, religion, political views, sexual orientation,
age or disability
Provide community facilities, staff resources and funding to make involvement happen
Work in partnership with customers and others

OUR TENANT PARTICIPATION TEAM
We have a dedicated team of officers specialising in Tenant Participation. The team is able to offer advice and support about any existing opportunities for involvement, or may be able to develop new opportunities by working with you and with other staff from New Charter.
They can help you to:
Access information
Organise public meetings and events
Leaflet or survey your estate to find out other tenants' views
Provide training and funding to enable you to get involved and to influence the
services we provide
