Board Members
Abdul Quayum
Abdul is a Special Project Planning Officer for the Greater Manchester
Passenger Transport Executive.
He previously worked for a firm of solicitors specialising in
immigration, welfare rights and common law. He was also the first
General Secretary of the Pakistani Community Centre, and has been a Governor
of several schools. A founder member of the association, he is
also Chair of Oldham West Area Committee.
Anjam Shahzad
Anjam is a Project Manager (Development / Regeneration) at Contour
Housing Group. He joined the Board in 1999 and brings housing and property
development expertise to Aksa.
Anjam is the Board’s representative on the Group’s Finance
Committee.
Aslam Khan
Aslam is New Charter Housing Trust Ltd’s nominee on the Board of
Aksa Housing Association Ltd.
He is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) with a legal background.
Ken Heap
Ken is a former senior member of Aksa’s staff who retired in 2007.
He brings a wealth of experience in housing management and property maintenance
to the Board, as well as a deep knowledge of the community.
Elaine Davies
Elaine was appointed to the Board
in 2007. She is a solicitor and is currently employed by
Whiteheads Solicitors.
Joe Oliver
Joe is a self-employed accountant and was previously Finance
Director of County Palatine Housing Association. Joe has been an observer
on the Board for many years, advising the Board on various financial
issues. He joined the Board in 1999, and brings substantial financial
experience and expertise to the Association.
Joe is the Board’s representative on the Group’s Audit Committee.
Mohammed H Rahman
Mohammed is a Tenant Board member, and was elected to the Board
in September 2003.
Nasim Ullah Khan
Nasim is a local businessman who is one of the founding members
of Aksa Housing Association. He has a good understanding of the housing
needs of local communities in Oldham.
Wizarat J Siddiqi
Wizarat is a retired businessman and local community member.
He was elected as a Board member in September 2004.
