Aslam Khan is a Senior Development Manager for Manchester Airport PLC responsible for managing and developing the Airport’s capital works.

He is a Chartered Civil Engineer with a legal background. He joined the Board of Aksa in 1999 and brings expertise in construction and development.

Abdul is a Special Project Planning Officer for the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive. He previously worked for a firm of solicitors specialising in immigration, welfare rights and common law. He was also the first General Secretary of the Pakistani Community Centre, and has been a Governor of several schools. A founder member of the association, he is also Chair of Oldham West Area Committee.

Anjam is a Project Manager (Development / Regeneration) at Contour Housing Group. He joined the Board in 1999 and brings housing and property development expertise to Aksa.

Asghar is a Youth Worker employed by Oldham MBC Youth and Community Services. He is Governor of Horton Mill and Glodwick Infant Schools. Asghar is a founder member of the Association, and brings to the Board local knowledge of the communities’ social and housing issues.

Helen is a Tenant Board member and is also the Chair of the Tenants’ Forum. Helen was elected to the Board in September 2003.

Iram works as an Elderly Services Officer for West Pennine Housing Association. Her knowledge of housing and estate management and Housing Associations makes a valuable contribution to the work of Aksa. She was elected as a Board member in September 2004.

Joe is a self-employed accountant and was previously Finance Director of County Palatine Housing Association. Joe has been an observer on the Board for many years, advising the Board on various financial issues. He joined the Board in 1999, and brings substantial financial experience and expertise to the Association.

Mohammed is a Tenant Board member, and was elected to the Board in September 2003.

Nasim is a local businessman who is one of the founding members of Aksa Housing Association. He has a good understanding of the housing needs of local communities in Oldham.

Nasir works as a Solicitor for Wolstenholmes Solicitors. Nasir brings the benefit of knowledge in the legal, property development and organisational management field. He was elected as a Board member in September 2004.

Sajjad joined Aksa Housing Association in December 1995 and has seen the Association develop successfully over the last 11 years. He previously worked for Walsall Council and has substantial experience of housing management and development issues. He has also worked for a firm of accountants and is a qualified accountant.

Wizarat is a retired businessman and local community member. He was elected as a Board member in September 2004.
